Below you’ll find courses available for you to take completely online. There are three categories of online courses available.

Online with LIVE instruction, where you will log in at the specified time and view an instructor presenting the course material.

Online with Instructor Support, where you will complete course work on your own, typically released at a certain time of the week for your and with instructor support via discussion boards or email.

Online Self-Paced, where you will complete the course at your own pace during the allotted access period.

Online Course – Live Instruction

Medical Administrative Assistant:

This program prepares students to be professional medical administrative assistants dedicated to front office skills in a healthcare setting. Graduates are equipped to answer phones, process bills, communicate with patients, HIPAA compliance and general office duties.

Medical Billing and Coding

This course combines the basics of medical coding, medical billing, and medical terminology to provide a comprehensive program that will prepare you to work as a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist in a professional medical office.

Pharmacy Technician

This program prepares students to be professional Pharmacy Technicians dedicated to assisting Registered Pharmacists in quality pharmacy operational procedures. Graduates are equipped to assist the Pharmacist by filling prescriptions according to doctor’s orders. Pharmacy Technicians participate in ordering products and inventory control, as well as billing and receiving payments. Trained graduates that pass this course are eligible to sit for a national certification exam.

  • Explore a Career as a Medical Administrative Assistant (6-week Course, 24 hours, Instructor Supported) Learn what it takes to have a successful career as an administrative medical assistant. This course explores the job of an administrative medical assistant (AMA) in a doctor’s office-from appointment scheduling and chart creation to medical billing and coding to give you an inside-view of the job. 

 

  • Explore a Career in Medical Billing & Coding | (6-week Course, 24 hours) Explore a career as a medical coder and gain knowledge to help you work, with confidence, almost anywhere in the medical field from doctors’ offices, clinics, hospitals, or even in the comfort of your home. This course teaches use of the CPT manual and IDC-10-CM which will give you a leg up on others who are new to this

 

  • HIPAA Compliance | (6-week Course, 24 hours)
    If you are just starting your career in the health care field, HIPPA Compliance training is a priceless addition to your resume. This course provides an understanding of the compliance requirements of HIPPA, and subsequent rules and laws that affect HIPPA.

 

  • Spanish for Medical Professionals | (6-week Course, 24 hours)Prepare for any situation by bridging the communication gap between you, your patients, and worried family members. This course provides knowledge of basic medical phrases to help you better communicate with the Spanish-speaking community.
